Day 3 Somebody We Cherish

Day 3 was about photographing somebody we cherished. Day three worked out perfect because we had already planed to go out and get some of Ellie's 11 pictures and get some of her with daddy. These were taken late in the evening about 7 pm at park not to far from us. I can't believe my baby is so close to turning 1. :) 

All I did for edit on this photo was remove color cast and correct skin tone. 

Day 2 Blue Domination

Day two we have blue domination. When I first started thinking I wasn't quite sure how I was going to capture this. I know I did not just want to shoot the sky so of course I immediately went to Ellie's closet and pulled out our favorite dress and a Bell's beanie we still needed to wear.

I'm not sure if I'm 100% happy with my outcomes I think I might go back out side later with Ellie and try to find a nice open spot where we can get her picture with the big blue sky behind here. I kept the editing simple on both photo's. This is a photo challenge not edit challenge. On photo 1 I did a basic levels adjustment and just added a vinaigrette to the edge. To photo 2 I lighted the right side of her face with a levels adjustment and sharpened the eyes. What I do love about both of these photo's is the both could work for backlight as well. :)

Day 1 backlight

I didn't have time to start on day one so I took day one right before I did day two. Ellie was nice enough to cooperate and let me get a few shots of both. So here goes......

I took this right on our front step at 8 in the morning so I could catch the light behind Ellie. I did not edit the color only thing I touched up was I sharpened her eyes. I was going to remove the color cast but decided to leave it. I felt it gave the photo a nice vintage look. 

So I failed!

Yes, yes I know I failed my photo a day challenge. But on the plus side my photography business is taking off and my daughter is now almost a year old :) Since I failed I decided to try a new challenge. It's a 180 days and each day you get a new challenge like day one backlight and day two Blue domination. So wish me luck.
